When my wife asked me what I was going to make in my new adventure I said one word “beds!”. It was somewhat a terse answer but there was a joke in there somewhere. I had made a bed a number of years ago for ourselves and was pretty happy with the result as it was the first bed I made. This only being the second and it has made quite the jump in technical acomplishments but if the two beds were seen side by side I think you would recognise that it was made by the same author.

I wanted to convey a sense of the open country side with fields of tall grasses and wooden fencing. Imagine lying out in the shade of an old oak tree and a fresh summer breeze, the summer sun setting on the horizon.

This has been a labour of love for over 6 months while doing other customers work.I really enjoy the whole process of creation: ideation, conceptulisation, testing new techniques materials and designs, final creation of parts, finishing and best of all - a happy customer.

I have gone through all of the above steps with this project except the last.
